Hi there! I’m Elaine (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re navigating life’s challenges and looking for support, I’d be honored to help. Let me tell you a bit about myself and how we might work together.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and as a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), I specialize in supporting adults who are managing ADHD, depression, stress, and the pressures of balancing career and family life. Using therapeutic approaches like CBT, EMDR, and SFBT, I will tailor our sessions to fit your unique needs and goals. My trauma-informed practice is all about creating a safe and supportive space for you. I focus on providing culturally sensitive care, especially for LGBTQ+ and multicultural clients. Whether you speak English, Mandarin, or Cantonese, we will work together in a way that feels comfortable and inclusive for you.
Outside of therapy, I like to think of myself as a lifelong learner, though sometimes that means stumbling my way through a new French phrase or a questionable guitar chord progression. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me trying to write a song that doesn’t sound like all the others or pretending I’m fluent in French (spoiler: I’m not… yet). These hobbies remind me that growth is messy, imperfect, and occasionally hilarious—much like life itself! I firmly believe that embracing our imperfections is one of the most powerful steps we can take toward living authentically.
I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your path to healing. If you’re ready to explore how we can work together, I am currently accepting new clients and would love to connect. You can call, email or use the Jane App platform here to book a free 15-minute virtual (online video) or phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!
